On June 25,2015 AU Youth Official Cultural Seminar concluded, which was sponsored by International Exchange Bureau of Ministry of Culture and organized by TUTE. Song Yanqun and Ma Yunfei, Director and Deputy Director of the Bureau; You Yi, Culture Counselor of Chinese Embassy; TUTE’s president Prof. Liu Xin and other guests conferred the completion certificates on the participants. The ceremony was presided over by TUTE’s VP. Prof. Yan Bing.  Mr. Song spoke highly of the seminar, saying it is such a significant and far-reaching event as to draw a lot of attention. The success in hosting and organizing the seminar two years in a row opened up a new channel for Sino-African cultural exchange and cooperation. He hoped that the participants could share what they had learnt and seen with people back in Africa, which would update their understanding of China. Ministry of Culture was committed to creating more opportunities like this one to further facilitate cultural exchange and to build a vast platform. On behalf of TUTE, Prof. Liu Xin thanked Ministry of Culture for its support and trust, and congratulated the 11 AU officials on their completion of the 14-day seminar. She hoped that in the future they would come back to visit China and TUTE again. Philip, one of the participants, on behalf of 11 AU officials, extended his gratitude to the Ministry and TUTE for creating this opportunity, from which every one of them benefited a lot. Back to Africa, they would continue to be dedicated to the cause of Sino-African cultural exchange. The seminar proved successful not only in deepening the officials’ understanding of Chinese society, economy and history etc, but in building platform for culture exchange and communication. |
